Well, I have finished my official first day of work. It went pretty well. It didn't really help that it was icy and raining today. I am glad I made it to the hospital on time. When I reached the parking garage, I saw that there was a covered bridge to the hospital, but I had no idea what floor it was on. I decided to follow a resident to see what he would do. Luckily, he knew the way, and I was spared any more confusion. I met several girls at orientation who were seated around me. Some of them were going to be labor and delivery nurses, but many of them were going to be with me in the NICU. I enjoyed getting to know them, and I can't wait to see how my future unfurls at this hospital.
